Looking for the best dark romance books? The Souls Trilogy is probably the first I would recommend!
Synopsis
In the first book, we’re following a girl named Raelynn. She recently moved back to her hometown to go to university and work on her YouTube channel. Her niche is capturing paranormal activities and she has a goal to grow her audience. At school, she learns that a student was murdered and when she gets there the crime scene is taped off. As she nears the area, she’s blocked by a really attractive guy that both frightens and turns her on- Leon.
She leaves school with her best friend who owns a bookstore. Her friend gives Raelynn an old book she had, and as Raelynn looks through it she notices it’s a grimoire. She thinks it’s the perfect thing to help build her Youtube channel if she pretends to summon something.
One day she goes to an abandoned church to record herself summoning a demon but she doesn’t think it will actually work- until it does. As the demon appears she freaks out because she realizes that it’s Leon, the hot guy she saw at school. From this point on her world is turned upside down as she discovers her hometown’s secret cult and learns that she is their next sacrifice.
My Thoughts
Each book in this series follows a different couple, but it seems their stories are intertwined. I’m really enjoying this series so far! The atmosphere, the smut, the dual POVs. It’s checking all of my boxes for a perfect series. Raelynn and Leon are a cute couple but Zane and Juniper are hot and more intense so I personally liked Her Soul for Revenge a little more than the first one haha.
And I also just liked how Zane is more accepting of his romantic feelings and is more confident than Leon. So I’m looking forward to the third book which I believe will be about Callum and Everly, and I’m sure it will be just as good, maybe even better ☺️
