Synopsis
In this story, we’re following Sawyer whose rough childhood has caused her to jump from place to place in hopes of not being caught by the authorities. One day she’s at a bar in Australia when a handsome man walks in and offers to show her a cool place. She goes and they have a very steamy time at this waterfall and they end up at his house.
She leaves early the next morning after stealing from him. The man, Enzo, realizes what she’s done and is furious. He makes a plan for revenge if he sees her again and one day at the beach he runs into her.
He pretends he has no idea what she’s done and takes her on his boat out to sea. A huge storm comes by and wrecks the boat leaving them stranded. Sawyer spots a lighthouse and they swim to it hoping a passing ship will rescue them. But this lighthouse is far from safe and Enzo and Sawyer will need to work together to get home while confronting their feelings.
My Thoughts
This story is so action packed that I could not stop reading! Not only is there a romance plot but there’s a paranormal/ mystery element to it which makes this a good book for fall reading.
It is dark romance so look up the trigger warnings if you need to. They have an intense enemies to lovers kind of relationship so if you’re looking for romantic, cute interactions this is not the book 😆 and it’s spicy as well!

When his hazel eyes lift, it nearly stops my heart in my chest. He’s just so goddam…intense. “You’re going to ruin me,” he reiterates.
I will. “I won’t” At least not like he thinks.
“You’re lying.” I am.
“You won’t be the only one that will be ruined, remember?” I settle on, deciding to go with the truth.
I absolutely will destroy him, and later, I’ll hate myself for it than I already do.
